The Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager is a Microsoft® Windows® system tool for managing all installed IIS of Windows, such as FTP or Web-sites. You can run this tool quickly in accordance with the following instructions. In this documentation we're considering that BINETIX® PTMâ„¢ is already deployed by the Installer and all PTM's Internet services and settings are successfully registered onto the Windows® system. We're assuming also that BINETIX® PTMâ„¢ is operational under IIS version 10. Consequently, the following settings should be viewable by the IIS Manager: •The following Application Pools named: oBINETIX PTM Services oBINETIX PTM Web Apps •The following Websites named: oBINETIX PTM 20xx managed by "BINETIX PTM Services" pool oBINETIX PTM 20xx (API) managed by "BINETIX PTM Services" pool oBINETIX PTM 20xx (Web Site) managed by "BINETIX PTM Web Apps" pool |

The Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager provides great many ways to configure and manage Web sites, and normally the Installer will do all configurations automatically for you. Within the description bellow we are NOT going to tech you how to use the IIS Manager or to register BINETIX® PTMâ„¢ website from scratch. Here we will emphasize only the most common actions and parameters that would be useful for better and more fluent administration. 1)Select the desired website of BINETIX® PTMâ„¢. 2)To change the default bindings set by the Installer press the "Binding..." link. You can find it on the top-right area of the current IIS Manager view. The following modal window will appear: Here you can "Add..." or "Edit..." one or more binding of the website you've selected. By default the Installer applies the following protocols and ports for BINETIX® PTMâ„¢ websites: •BINETIX PTM 20xx operational at port 8086, protocol HTTP •BINETIX PTM 20xx (API) operational at port 8089, protocol HTTP •BINETIX PTM 20xx (Web Site) operational at port 8090, protocol HTTP
You can switch HTTPS in accordance with your needs and security demands. Also take into consideration that by default the Installer adds rules to your local Firewall for the above mentioned ports. Be advised that changing the bindings with IIS Manager does not affect your Firewall, and vice-versa. Please check "Deploy the Solution" topic for more details. 3)To change the default basic settings applied by the Installer press the "Basic Settings..." link. You can find it on the top-right area of the current IIS Manager view. The following modal window will appear: Here you can update the location of the website. These settings have already been setup for you by the Installer. There are some rare practical cases to change these options, like multiplying manually the deployment in web-farm environment or for application migrations purposes. Please use those only in case of necessity and with full understanding what you would like to achieve. |
