check/2 is an Erlang function exported by "postgres" module. This function can be used for maintenance purpose to validate different connection tag as follows: •prepared_statements - Does the backend support prepared statements? •oids_support - Can we specify WITH OIDS with CREATE TABLE? •nested_transactions - Can transactions be nested in other transactions? •scroll_cursors - Can cursors be declared SCROLL? •holded_cursors - Can cursors be declared WITH HOLD? •updateable_cursors - Can cursors be updateable? •fetch_all - Can cursors fetch zero elements? (Used to trigger a "fetch all") •columns_origination - Can we ask what table column a result column came from? •readonly_transactions - Can transactions be READ ONLY? •varargs_support - Do prepared statements support varargs? •unnamed_statements - Is the unnamed prepared statement supported? •parameterized_statements - Can this connection execute parameterized statements? •payloads_support - Can notifications carry payloads?
