1. Overview
This version of BINETIX® AGE™ was released on July 15, 2013. NO LONGER SUPPORTED! |
•[NEW] Brand new communication architecture with integrated router and firewall. Now nodes can exchange messages and large binary data behind NAT. •[NEW] AGE nodes now have unique digital IDs for better global gird recognition, filtering and addressing. The old fashioned Erlang IDs (name@host) are completely deprecated and no longer in use. The transition to new IDs is automatic. The new IDs by default are generated on ground on the host name of the running PC but also can be defined manually. •[NEW] AGE nodes can establish more then one concurrent connections. These communication links can be managed and balanced by the AGE Gateway controller. •[NEW] The communication supports standard URIs for addressing remote nodes. •[DEL] The distributed Erlang is no longer in use with the Grid. However, the Agents can still operate with standard Erlang nodes for backward compatibility and external Erlang applications. •[ADD] The Agent can depict the grid map in a file ($SYSTEM/logs/age_map.svg). •[UPD] The communication signature is changed to support the new features. •[UPD] AGE node can operate as a stand-alone Linux service with integrated SaaS terminal for remote monitoring and control. •[UPD] This release supports Erlang R15B01, R15B03, R16B. |
